Teen Nature Camp

Service Description

Team Building and Social Activities inspire creativity and innovation, cultivate skills in work and community; develop leadership and time management; promote healthy competition and collaboration; and help children gain a sense of achievement in a group setting rather than on an individual level. Our Teen and Children’s Nature Camps take team building a step further and integrate those skills with art and nature to engage the whole brain. The teen camp is aimed at children ages 12 to 18 who love to be outdoors in a creative setting with other members to collaborate and increase motivation for ingenuity and partnership. We will be doing positivity activities and asking the children to build each other up with trust exercises. Games will have rights of passage where teens are asked questions based on internal thought processing to advance through the art and social activities. We will walk on paper with painted feet, pull strings through acrylic pours, trace art shadows on the sidewalk and fill the space with positive affirmations, use our imagination, get messy, and play. These camps will take place outside the studio in a To Be Announced location, most likely at a park. Details will be provided upon sign-up and public transportation will be provided. Our Summer Camps are offered at a weekly rate for five days and include a morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM, lunch from 12 PM to 1 PM and an afternoon session from 1 PM to 3 PM on Monday-Friday. Lunches will not be provided. Children must bring a sack lunch, limited refrigeration so cooling packs are encouraged. Healing Hearts Haven will not reheat lunches. Morning and afternoon snacks are also encouraged.
