Ashley is passionate about helping children find healing through mindfulness activities such as therapeutic art activities, public performance and emotional expression, yoga, music, reading, crafting, and getting out into nature with trust and team building exercises. She found a need in the juvenile justice system for alternatives to detention, and decided that all youth could benefit from these healing heart to heart expressions.
After opening up an art and yoga studio to foster creativity, meditation, health, and mindfulness, she started this blog to bring helpful tips and information to more communities and youth. Today, she is a single mom of three, a dabbling part-time lawyer, an avid painter, children's yoga instructor, meditation and mindfulness and positive psychology practitioner, and a youth organization leader. She hopes to bring inspiration to families and youth to spread internal awareness and bring healing to those exposed to trauma, limited income barriers, violence, and other forms of abuse and suffering.
